Kulita Evans was born in 1989 in the Kitwe district of the Copperbelt province. He started school in 1995 and completed in 2008. He worked as a small entrepreneur selling smart phones and their accessories in Kitwe and also was part of a young musical group called Highly Entertaining Youngsters. In 2011, he applied for tertiary education and was accepted at Evelyn Hone College of Applied Arts and Commerce in Lusaka. While there, he studied communication skills and journalism. He obtained his diploma in communication skills as a high school teacher majoring in the English language and literature and minored in library and information science. Due to his interest in environmental safety, he also studied environmentally friendly, alternative energy sources with Copperbelt University. He is currently unemployed and volunteers with LiChi’s Community Solutions Ltd. He discovered LiChi from his project research with a solar expert at an energy regulations board in Kitwe who liked his ideas and referred him to LiChi’s Community Solutions Ltd.
