Clayton Lumwaya is a final year student obtaining his bachelor’s degree in planning and construction management at the Copperbelt University in Zambia. Apart from school, Clayton is a part time consultant in the construction field mostly regarding project evaluation and management, urban and region planning, and rural development. In addition, he is also working with local authority offices as a community researcher of rural economics and development. In the past, he has been involved with various humanitarian projects aimed to improve standards of living and development communities. He worked closely with Women For Change and World Vision to empower women and youth with skills and capacity building. Furthermore, he also worked with Development Aid From People To People (DAPP) in developing remote villages such as Mukonchi in Kabwe. Clayton’s passion of rural development led him to join LiChi’s Community Solutions Ltd. as a volunteer and has become a tremendous help in working with Likonge and the organization.
